#179 Another Testimonial for Dustin

Posted by Neil on 15 February 2014 - 06:33 AM

I have three custom skins redone by Dustin and they are top notch, clean, and work the best.

Dustin's customer support and willingness to get in and fix any issue that comes about are a stand-alone testimony for him.

Great Site, Great Support, and look forward to a permanent relationship with this site.

#327 IPS 4.0 Themes

Posted by Dustin on 23 April 2015 - 03:33 AM

As IPS 4.0 begins to roll out, officially leaving release candidate stage and entering final release, we're pleased to announce that we'll be creating a suite of awesome new themes for this new, fancy, cool version of Invision Power Services' latest community and content management system.

There are a lot of questions people may have, so we'll try to address most of the concerns in this post. If there is anything I forget to mention, feel free to comment or PM us and we'll edit this post to address those concerns.

First, any successor to existing themes, will be free of charge to those who purchased the previous version. For example, if we release Revolt 3, anyone with Revolt 2 will be eligible to receive this theme at no cost. This is hypothetical, because Revolt 3 doesn't exist (yet), just an example.

Next, we'll be discounting existing IPB 3 themes in the coming weeks and there will be no future updates to those themes unless absolutely necessary, but they will still absolutely be supported 100% for any bugs, modifications, or changes people request.

Lastly, we'll have an initial wave of premade themes, but eventually we will be updating them to include new features, adding more value with no price change such as automated features and easy editing improvements, in addition to more color combinations.

In addition to premade themes, we will be available for custom work. However, we'll likely limit our scope in the beginning while demand is high and our schedules are tight. We don't want to over-promise and not be able to deliver. Over time, we'll open up what kind of orders we'll accept to a wider scope.

Looking ahead, we'd also like to hear from you! What would you like to see in a theme? Colors, style, features, etc.. Let us know! You're the reason we do this. We'd love to include everyone in our creative process and make themes that truly inspire and fit your needs.

Let us know what you think and if you have any comments or questions about IPS 4.0 and Virteq.

Like I said, when you go to download the skin, choose version 2.3.7, not 2.3.8. You're using an older version of IPB. So you need to use an older version of the theme.

#332 IPS 4.0 Themes

Posted by Dustin on 27 May 2015 - 03:50 PM

No ETA yet, as IPS 4.0 still has a lot of bugs we're hoping get squashed soon, and with so many releases coming out, themes have to constantly get modified, on top of the learning curve of figuring out what the new classes are, how they work, and how old systems will work when ported to the new engine. So there's a lot going on. I'm hoping within a month I'll have at least a couple themes released. Innovation being one of them, although I think I'll change the name. The name doesn't really fit. It's just my first theme, ever, and have kept the name because it was familiar to people who used my first theme that started me on this journey. But it doesn't hold much weight these days.

Expect something minimal, sleek, dark, and color-changing as the spiritual successor, for sure!

#329 Price lineage2 IPB 3.4.7 template

Posted by Dustin on 13 May 2015 - 08:16 PM

That's just some lowlife trying to make money off of someone else's skin. That skin is Brave by Skinbox: http://www.skinbox.n...t/skins/brave/

Don't buy it. Buy from real people who put their hard work into a skin. If anything, buy it from the link above. Not some ripoff scumbag.

Also, not to be rude, but neither the ripped or real skin are made by us. We'd prefer you buy from us. But I won't hold it against you ;)

I'm looking into alternatives. Or some code that will negate the margin effect on the hover card. So weird that it does. Not sure why changing the margin on #branding does anything to the hover card. Totally separate IDs. Strange. But we're testing ideas. Hopefully one of them will work.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks for being so patient.

Good news: I found the cause of the alignment issue.

Bad news: The margin at the top of the board creating the header_bar to scroll with you is the cause. But if I remove the alignment problem code, you'll lose the ability to scroll with the header_bar following you. So I'll need to look into alternative options.

#233 Slight problem with paste board

Posted by Dustin on 06 August 2014 - 02:05 AM

Update: I've spoken to Amged, who is in charge of the development side of our products, and he is away on vacation, but will be back on the 17th. He will try as best he can this weekend to get a chance to look into the bug and address it ASAP while on the road. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused :(

#220 Power Updated to 1.0.1

Posted by Dustin on 25 May 2014 - 07:10 PM

A user has spotted a bug in the blog header that causes it to appear awkwardly. We have fixed that issue and uploaded version 1.0.1 to download.

If you would like the direct edits instead of redownloading and reimporting the skin. The changes are as follows:

1. In your ACP, navigate to the look & feel tab and click on Power.

2. Next, click on the CSS tab of the editor, and click on ipblog.css.

3. Add the following code ABOVE all existing code in the stylesheet:

#blog_title {
display: block;
width: 270px !important;
margin-bottom: 15px !important;
background: transparent !important;
position: relative;
}

#blog_title span {
font-family: "Segoe UI", Frutiger, "Frutiger Linotype", "Dejavu Sans", "Helvetica Neue", Arial, sans-serif !important;
font-style: normal !important;
text-transform: uppercase !important;
position: relative !important;
top: 10px;
left: 10px !important;
font-size: 1.8em;
color: #fff;
text-shadow: #000 0px 0px 0px !important;
width: 210px !important;
font-weight: bold !important;
}

#blog_title img {
position: relative !important;
top: 10px;
left: 10px !important;
display: none !important;
}

4. Save. Done!

#215 New Theme: Power

Posted by Dustin on 06 May 2014 - 12:55 AM

When we started Virteq, our intentions were to churn out more unique themes that don't just paint-by-numbers. With our new theme, Power, we're bringing something fun to our customers with a vertical navigation and MANY customizations that can be managed through your ACP without editing any code. These cusomizations include:

  • Social media icons
  • Horizontal user info pane
  • Global font changes
  • Global messages
  • Profile photo in user navigation instead of username
  • Avatars for post icons
  • Display/remove sidebar

All of these features are optional and can be applied/reverted with one click. This is all possible thanks to our Premium Products System. This FREE app is required for using the features built into Power, and all of our future premium themes. This app is what enables all of the cool changes you can make. It is only required to be installed once, and you can manage ALL future Virteq premium themes from within one central place.

Check out Power, today!

P.S. We are also rolling out a new product view on our website, so we hope you like that as well. If you come across any bugs, please let us know. Thanks! We greatly appreciate your support and can't wait to show you what else we have planned.
